Bucktown Fun Run

bucktown fun run

Last night local runners gathered at Walsh Park in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago to enjoy a leisure three miler to get ready for the Bucktown 5k. The Bucktown 5k will be held on September 17 and offers all registered participants a Chicago Flag fleece blanket, just in time for fall!

The run started at 6pm and took runners through the scenic 606/ Bloomingdale Trail and ended at Lottie’s Pub where RAM Racing and our sponsors kept the good vibes alive with exclusive race discounts, fun raffles, and goodie bags! Ryan Caturan from Aligned Modern Health raffled off massage packages, and Anna Oliver from Revolution Brewing gave out a VIP package to their Revolution Oktoberfest Festival that will be taking place on September 29 & 30.

Fun run participant, Demetrius Brown, enjoys these types of social events, especially as a relatively new runner. “The group fun runs provide the extra incentive to train with the added benefit of meeting other runners from all backgrounds,” he said.

RAM Racing is off to an exciting season as we’re preparing for two races this month and five local races by the end of the year. For chocolate aficionados turned runners, the Hot Chocolate 15k/5 series is kicking off in October and touring nationwide until Spring. MB Hot Chocolate Chicago is celebrating its 10th anniversary in its hometown so make sure you see all the cool things we’re offering our runners, including diamonds!

Happy Running,

Jill Andrada, RAM Racing
